Kayla and Nathan had a beautiful and intimate wedding ceremony on November 25, 2023, surrounded by their closest loved ones. However, we wanted to extend the joy of our union to all of our family and friends. To celebrate this special occasion with everyone, we are hosting a Habesha reception to share our happiness and create more cherished memories together. Please join us for an evening of love, laughter, and celebration as we honor our marriage with those who mean the most to us.
What is a Habesha reception?
A Habesha reception refers to a traditional wedding celebration within the Ethiopian and Eritrean communities, encompassing rich cultural practices and customs. These are typically characterized by intricate attire, and a strong emphasis on family and community.
What is the dress attire?
The dress attire for the reception is formal attire. However, if you would like to embrace the cultural theme, you are most welcome to do so. Women typically wear a "zuria", and men typically wear a "jubba". We look forward to celebrating with you in style!
Can I bring my children?
We kindly request that children not attend the reception. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to limited space, we are unable to accommodate additional guests. Only those addressed in the invitation are invited.
How do I RSVP?
Please RSVP on our website. We kindly ask that you respond no later than Friday, April 4, 2025.
