On June 2nd, 2018 we headed out to Taphouse 15 not really knowing what to expect. We had started talking on a dating website, but neither of us knew that we were meeting who we’d be spending the rest of our lives with. We met at the restaurant at 6pm (Mike made reservations of course) and had such a wonderful time getting to know one another. From there, we texted all day, every day and went on several dates over the coming weeks.

Over the next year we had many adventures together. From going on a cruise on Lake Hopatcong, to food truck festivals, and apple picking in Warwick, just to name a few. Then it came to be our first Christmas together. I got Mike some cute things that I felt he’d really love. In return he gave me a card that contained a trip to Ireland for our 1 year anniversary!

To say I was surprised is an understatement. Fast forward 7 months and we got on a plane headed for the Emerald Isle. We spent the first couple of days exploring Dublin and Belfast. We even visited a beautiful Irish estate. Then on the third day, we headed to the Cliffs of Moher.

Enamored by the incredible views, we kept hiking up the cliffs. Mike kept encouraging me to walk further. Come to find out later, it was because there were hundreds of tourists around and he was looking for a nice spot to propose! Once at a beautiful spot, he got down on one knee and popped the question!! Experiencing Ireland was something we’ll never forget. Mike and I are beyond excited to begin our engagement and our married life together, as well as celebrate it with all our family and friends.
