Our Wedding

Brandon and Kayla first met on December 21, 2019 at their best friends' wedding (thanks Haley and Andrew!) Brandon was a groomsman and Kayla was a bridesmaid.Brandon first noticed Kayla moments before the ceremony began as she helped the bride enter the chapel. His immediate thoughts were "WOAH! Who is that cute girl in the rose gold dress?!” Meanwhile, Kayla was so busy trying to help the bride that she had no time to check out the best looking groomsman of the bunch. As the night went on, Brandon was too nervous to approach Kayla and introduce himself. He finally saw his prime opportunity at the very end of the night when they were helping clean up the venue after the reception. As they cleaned the tables, Kayla realized she was missing her Texas A&amp;M rally towel from the bride and groom's exit. That is when Brandon worked up the courage to offer Kayla his rally towel. This sparked a conversation between the two and gave Brandon a reason to start following her on Instagram (wink wink).

First Meeting

As the years went on, Brandon and Kayla found themselves hanging out together on multiple occasions with their friends Andrew and Haley. Brandon was still too nervous to talk to Kayla and they ended up parting ways each time.&nbsp; On November 4th, 2023 Brandon and Kayla found themselves conveniently on a double date with their married friends. Brandon did a wonderful job starting his own conversations with Kayla and acting like a true gentleman. This time Kayla dropped the ball and was too nervous to talk to Brandon. His charm and politeness swept her off her feet and she felt like it was too good to be true. There was no way this Fort Worth boy would ever be interested in a Houston girl. Little did she know that this “double date” would leave Brandon thinking about what a potential relationship with Kayla would be like.

4 1/2 Years Later...

Fast forward to April 23, 2024. Brandon was scrolling through Instagram and noticed a post from Kayla. He decided this was the moment! This was the perfect moment to FINALLY reach out to Kayla, 6 months after their last meeting. This sparked their first (and continued) conversation. A few weeks later, Brandon and Kayla went on their first date. Brandon, like the gentleman he is, picked Kayla up from her friend’s house and brought her the most beautiful arrangement of her favorite flowers (tulips). He planned the perfect day. He had Kayla select between two notecards at various points of the day, each labeled with different locations around the Fort Worth area. They first went to Sundance Square, then toured TCU’s campus and football stadium, went to lunch at Coco Shrimp (which is now Kayla’s favorite place to eat in FW), and ended the night at a comedy club. Both Brandon and Kayla ended the night knowing that they had found someone special.

First Date

On December 28, 2024, Brandon got down on one knee and asked Kayla to be his wife. And of course….she said YES!
