Our story starts with me failing Honors Pre-Calc in my Junior year of high school. I ended up dropping out of the class and switching to regular Pre-Calc, and I just happened to be re-enrolled in the same class as Kyle. We quickly started dating after a few weeks of spending quite a bit of time together during and after school. We only grew closer, even as he went off to UMN-Duluth for school. While we were both in college, we enjoyed traveling to each other's schools for weekend visits. We graduated in December 2020 and returned back home to spend as much time together as we could and work. Finally in August of 2021, we bought our first home! A few months later in October 2021, we adopted our sweet little kittens - Luna & Cricket. Fast forward to our camping trip in September 2022. We visited Bear Head Lake State Park for a week long camping trip full of hiking, canoeing, and bonfires. On our final day, we stopped in Duluth to clean up and have a fancy date night. I had a hunch this wasn't JUST a pitstop to use his hotel points he saved up! We went up to Enger Tower for a little hike and a quick photoshoot before we went off to dinner. Kyle proposed in this beautiful spot overlooking the entire city of Duluth. It was perfect. I am so incredibly grateful for the numerous years we have shared together, and I am beyond excited to see what is next in our adventure.
I met Kayla in high school my senior year, we sat with the same group of people at lunch time and our classes were pretty close together so we would alway walk back together. That next quarter of high school Kayla was put into the same class I was in, and thats when we really started to get to knonw each other. I was just wrapping up high school at the time and decided to ask Kayla if she wanted to get some icecream sometime, and her answer to that question is where is all began, Yes. From there on we were like two peas in a pod. We would talk to each other everyday and see each other as much as we could. Even going to two different colleges 3 hours apart we still found a way to make it work. There wasn't a doubt in my mind that she was the one. Some of my favorite memories with Kayla were on our camping trips that we started doing every year. It was so much fun going to really cool places and having lots of fun on adventures. We graduated college at the same time and got to spend some more time together after we both moved back home. After just under a year of both working full time we found the perfect home to move into together and start a whole other adventure. On our next camping trip, after living together for a year, I decided it was time to ask if Kayla would marry me. Now we have the rest of our lives to go on as many adventures as possible and make many more memories.
