Our Story

Frank and Kayla first met when on Frank’s first day of work, his boss introduced him to a girl who worked across the cubicles named Kayla. Soon after, they became partners in crime, joined at the hip. “Where’s Frank?” “Probably at Kayla’s desk” was a usual conversation that played out in the office. They found any excuse to spend time together, Kayla even let Frank teach her how to play Sudoku (even though she couldn’t care less about Sudoku). They spent far too much time looking at rescue dogs on their computers until one day, Kayla convinced Frank to adopt one. This led to them finally deciding to hang out beyond the office doors so that Kayla could meet Frank's new dog, Callie. This hangout became a running joke in their relationship as Frank believed it to be a first date, and Kayla just thought they were hanging out.

Over the course of their relationship, Callie wasn't the only dog getting another parent. Frank became a girl dad to Kayla's dog, Chai, as well. And while Frank adopted Chai, Kayla adopted Frank's first love, sports. The Eagles, Phillies, and Formula 1 racing quickly became an important part of Kayla's life just as much as Frank's (minus the yelling and screaming at the TV). Kayla would even go as far as to tell Frank who was leading Formula 1 races when he was at his hunting cabin and couldn't see the results. But Kayla wasn't the only one to adopt the other's interests. Frank joined "Team Edward" and would gladly sit down to enjoy a pumpkin spice latté with oat milk while they binge-watched all of the Twilight movies.

Fast forward to almost two years later and Frank is down on one knee, asking Kayla to spend the rest of her life with him, 9,000 feet above sea level in Dillon, Colorado. Fans of The Office will appreciate Frank and Kayla’s 'Jim and Pam'-like love story, but theirs is even more special. Beyond the playful moments and the simple joys, their love is grounded in faith—thanking God for each other and the countless blessings they share. The two of them got baptized at the same church and lent their servant hearts to the production crew at Mosaic Christian Church. Their faith has led them to the Sykesville, MD area where they are currently apart of a launch team for Clear Point Church. This adventure has been a constant reminder of God's faithfulness and the joy that only He can bring. With the support of those who’ve loved and lifted them along the way, their story is a reminder that love is built on a foundation of faith, gratitude, and the people who stand by you.

Tux vs. Suit: What's the Difference?

Our dress code is formal. Any palette (besides white) is fine; however since it is a garden ceremony, feel free to wear florals or colorful garments. Use this as an excuse to dress fancy for a night! Ladies, think mid to floor length dresses or a nice pantsuit. Men, think of ties, dress shirts, slacks or a suit. No need to wear a gown or tux, just something a little more elegant than normal! The wedding party will be wearing black and white so, be our color! Use the below guide for inspiration or contact Kayla and Frank. We kindly ask no denim or white attire.
