It all started in a chemistry lab at Northern Michigan University where Mike and Kayla met. Their first dates included movie nights, and hiking along the beautiful Noquemanon Trails together. In the time getting to know each other they discovered they were mutual foodies and lovers of coffee. They quickly found any excuse to spend time together.

Their relationship grew through the tests of college, including a year long distance while Kayla finished her last year at Northern. Their journey has since brought them to Holland for Mike's career, navigating life together as adults and spoiling their cat, Leo.

Many hikes, snacks, and coffees later; Mike snuck a ring on a new trail they decided to try in Allegan. Not for the first time, they had become a bit lost. They found, even if they were lost, they'd always have one another.
