Our Wedding

It’s New Year’s Eve 2020, and neither Ryan or Kayla are looking to be in a relationship. Kayla is invited by her best friend (and now maid of honor) Haley Dowdy to come over to celebrate the new year with her and her family. Ryan is there, invited by his friend and journeyman Glenn Dowdy (Ryan’s groomsman and Haley’s uncle.) The night’s party starts as any other, everyone is drinking and having a good time. Kayla noticed a handsome man she’d never seen hanging around, but stays close to Haley in her shy nature. Little does she know Ryan noticed her too. Eventually they are introduced, they keep it calm and casual, but a few drinks in, and Kayla can’t shut up about how cute Ryan is. After Ryan gets talked up by his friends and with some liquid courage, he comes up to Kayla when he finds the opening. They walk away with big smiles and each other’s phone numbers, and have been together ever since. The wedding night marks 5 years!

The lucky lady of the big day! Works as a bank teller at Prosperity Bank and enjoys baking, reading, a variety of arts, and working out in her free time. Shares a dog (Cocoa) and two cats (Nova and Maisie) with her future husband! 

Kayla Tumlinson

Kayla’s first and best friend, of almost 21 years. Through good and bad, sickness and health, for richer and for poorer… oh wait, that’s supposed to be for the groom. Probably would’ve ended up married themselves if Ryan hadn’t come along. They knew each other as girls and helped each other grow into the women they are today, and will be raising hell in the nursing homes together when they’re old and wrinkly. 

Haley Dowdy

From mortal enemies in youth to being someone Kayla wouldn’t trade anything in the world for today. From yelling, throwing, and time outs to not missing an opportunity to have a coffee date anytime they have the luck to be in the same town. Kayla couldn’t be prouder of who she is; beautiful inside and out, smart, strong, independent. Kayla is forever grateful to have Peighton as her sister.

Peighton Tumlinson

Kayla and Katy were actually introduced through the groom and the best man. Jacob was lucky enough to snag Katy as his wife, and thank goodness because Kayla was tired of third wheeling when Ryan and Jacob hung out. Now the group is complete and Kayla couldn’t be happier!

Katy Duplessis

The lucky man of the day! Ryan works as a journeyman plumber for a local company, Peninsula Plumbing. He enjoys video games, drinking a beer, and hanging out with his buddies in his free time. He’s a hardworking, loving man and takes care of his future wife, and Cocoa, Nova, and Maisie!

Ryan McClelland

Ryan and Jacob met through a mutual friend, and got along so well they became besties. These two have been pushing the lines between hetero and homo for going on 8 years now, and don’t see it stopping anytime soon. There’s no one else Ryan would rather have by his side.

Jacob Duplessis

Glenn and Ryan met through career choice, Ryan was Glenn’s plumbing apprentice at Peninsula Plumbing up until Ryan passed his journeyman’s test. Over those 5 years of working together everyday; lunches at Glenn’s house, beers after work, beach weekends, it’s no wonder they became life-long friends.

Close enough to the big cities to have access to the airport’s and hotel options!  <br />There are also lots of AirBnB listings and Vrbo listings if you prefer something more private!</p>
