Our Story

Our Story

This bride and groom met in high school in 2017. it wasn't love at first sight, however we became friends and built a foundation from there. We talked constantly over the next few months, going on our first date which was not supposed to be classified as a date, just friends walking around an outlet mall. But Mother Nature had other plans in mind. After Brandon picked me up, it began to pour down rain, so heavily, he could not see as he drove. Hence we turned around to head back into town, as we drove back it stopped raining completely. So we turned around again and began heading to the outlet mall once more. As we drove toward the outlet, it again began pouring down rain, Brandon could not see again. We pulled over and discussed what to do, so we decided to again turn around and head back into town. As they drove into town, it stopped raining again and clear skies blossomed. We chose NOT to turn around again, clearly we were not supposed to go to that outlet mall that day. Hence, we simply just went and got dinner, talking for more than four hours that night.

Life Together

We went to prom together, Brandon attended my high school graduation. We went to college together, even carpooling to campus. We've gone on various family vacations together and have made numerous memories over the years.

We moved in together in March of 2020 in lei of the disastrous COVID-19 pandemic. We attended our college courses via zoom, like everyone else, while at our respective desks facing each other separated only by our bedroom wall.

We then became Titi Kayla and Uncle Brandon in June of 2020 to our amazing nieces Scarlett Ruth and Adalyn Rose, as well as our nephew Malakai Lorenzo.

The Proposal

We had recently gotten back from our vacation in 'wine country' - Finger Lakes, NY. It is not unusual for our family to go to our local wineries together and spend the day relaxing. His family and I had decided to get together and go to his dad, Frank's favorite winery, Blue Ridge Winery as well as Mountain View Winery, Brewery and Distillery, since his brother, Ryan and his wife, Amber, had never been to either. We went to Mountain View first since they do reseverations and we had a larger party.

We sat chatted, tried their wines and beers. Then Brandon and Frank suggested we all walk through the vineyards since it was such a gorgeous day. Coincidentally enough as we walked down toward the vineyards, there was a bachelorette party seated near us. As we walked into the vineyard Brandon called me forward to walk first in our group with him. As we walked I noticed a wine bottle leaning against one of the vines, as I looked closer at it, it had my name written on it. Brandon told me to go look at it, and as I picked it up there was a note from Brandon on the bottle. After I finished reading it, I turned around and saw him on one knee. I could not believe my eyes, I was going to get to marry my best friend and only love.
