Our Wedding

Sometimes life has a funny way of bringing two people together at just the right time. Seth and Kayla grew up only 45 minutes apart, probably hanging out at the same beaches, going to the same places, and passing by each other more than once, yet they never met until years later in Idaho. Kayla moved to Idaho for college at Boise State, built a career, and planted roots she never planned to leave. After high school, Seth joined the Navy, and when he returned home, he enrolled in Lineman School in Meridian, Idaho. Once again, they found themselves in the same state, still without crossing paths. That changed one night at the 127 Saloon. Seth was working as a bouncer and running the mechanical bull, wearing his signature cowboy hat, hard to miss at 6’6”. Kayla was out dancing with her girlfriends when she spotted him. Seth says he noticed her first on the dance floor but was working up the nerve to talk to her when he had a free moment in his shift. Kayla, however, was the one who eventually walked over, they started talking, and the rest is history. They exchanged numbers, though Kayla did leave Seth on “delivered” for a week before replying! Not long after, Seth moved to Michigan, and what could have faded instead turned into something real. Through distance and time, they realized they were better together than apart and made long distance work. In October 2024, Seth moved back to Idaho for good.Before Seth moved in, Kayla shared her home with Beau the heeler and Polly the cat. Now, their family has grown to include Rowdy the wiener dog and Mater the golden retriever, making for one full, happy house. When they’re not wrangling their four-legged crew, Seth and Kayla love camping, traveling, and spending time with their friends. Life just seemed to fall into place. What started as two people who happened to meet by chance in Idaho after growing up just 45 minutes apart turned into something steady, strong, and full of laughter. They built a home together filled with love (and plenty of dog hair), spontaneous adventures, late-night talks, and endless memories. They’ve supported each other through career changes, going back to school, new goals, and every little milestone that’s brought them closer together. From road trips and camping weekends to quiet nights on the couch surrounded by their pets, they’ve learned that home isn’t a place, it’s being with each other. Now, as they get ready to say “I do,” they can’t help but feel grateful for the winding path that brought them here, from two strangers who almost crossed paths a dozen times to best friends and soulmates building a life side by side.They can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!
