It all started with an online dating app in 2015. Troy asked Kayla if she would like to get a burger sometime which was different than the “Netflix and chill” and “Let’s get a drink” lines. Kayla agreed to meet up but Troy wanted it to be on a night that she was celebrating her birthday with her mom. Kayla asked to move the date around a bit on Troy. Instead of getting an ice cream then going to a movie, she wanted to get a drink at the bar in the movies instead. We don’t remember what we talked about. We barely watched the movie. Troy walked Kayla to her car and asked her on another date the next day. We spent the next day at the zoo then had sushi. We have been inseparable since.
