Our Wedding

It all started with a smile . . . . . We first met when I sent Cullen a smile on eHarmony. Our first date we went bowling then spent hours walking around Chinook mall getting to know each other. We discovered we had a mutual friend, Travis, and we both dislike cheesecake. It wasn’t love at first sight but there were definitely sparks. It didn’t take long for us to fall for each other. By date number 3 we were already looking at houses together.&nbsp; We bring out the best in one another and love each other for our quirks. We love to ride bikes, boxing, game nights, cuddle on the patio during rainstorms, and exploring the city. At the 7 month mark we decided it was time to move in together and have a baby…..a fur baby of course. We went to the pet store to get some fish for our aquarium and left with a cat as well. That day we welcomed Obi into our lives. In January 2020 we went to Mexico for our friends Christine and Kris’s wedding and spent a beautiful fun week in the sun. The first day in Mexico we were having fun and I got really drunk. Cullen had to drag me out of the pool and took me to a buffet to sober up. No regrets! On April 5, 2020, during the COVID pandemic, we took the next step in our life together. While watching Harry Potter Cullen asked for my hand in marriage; I of course said yes.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Cullen and I are so excited to celebrate with everyone tomorrow! Masks are not required at our ceremony or reception, however if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please do. Dear family and friends, As of July 1 most of the COVID restrictions will be lifted in Alberta! Cullen and I are super excited we can have the wedding we have been planning for the last year and a half. We are so happy we can have all of our people there with us on our big day. We are still waiting to hear whether masks will be mandatory but please keep and eye on our website. We will update you on the mask situation as soon as we know more. Love,Kayla &amp; Cullen

Dear family and friends, As you all have probably heard the Alberta government just released their reopening plan for the coming weeks. If everything goes as planned the new re-opening plan suggests that Alberta will be almost totally open by the beginning of July and we will be able to have the full wedding that we have been planning for! Naturally, we are super excited about this!!!&nbsp;We are staying positive and hoping that everything goes ahead according to the reopening plan. January 24, 2021 Update

Dear family and friends,&nbsp; We hope you and yours are healthy and safe during this time, and we appreciate all the love and support we’ve received. Although the COVID-19 crisis has created much uncertainty, as of now, we will be proceeding with our wedding on July 17, 2021. We will be sending out official invitations closer to our wedding date. We understand that the situation is constantly changing, we feel that by the summer, it will be safe to gather and celebrate. We will keep you informed if that should change.
