Evan went to school to become a physical education teacher. His placement for student teacher ended up being at Harrison High School, where I graduated. At that time, one of my younger sister’s, Mia, was in the gym class that he was student teaching for. On his second day of student teaching, yes SECOND, Mia went up to Evan and asked him if he was single. He was hesitant to answer, but luckily told her yes. Mia came home that night and told me, “Kayla, I’m about to hook you up with my student teacher.” The next day, we followed each other on Instagram. After waiting all day for a message from Evan, I got impatient and decided to message him first. I am glad I did. Almost 3 years later, here we are, getting married!
