Hannah and Kayla’s story began in December 2021, when they connected online and quickly realized there was something special between them. Not long after the new year began, Hannah asked Kayla on their first date at an arcade bar in St. Paul — a afternoon filled with laughter, friendly conversation.

On January 15, 2022, Kayla planned their next date at Olive Garden in Oakdale. It was during that evening that Kayla knew in her heart that Hannah was the one she wanted to spend forever with. Just two days later, on January 17, 2022, Kayla made it official and asked Hannah to be her girlfriend.

Their love story continued to grow, leading to a magical proposal on Friday, October 13, 2023, when Kayla — with the help of Hannah’s friends — asked Hannah to marry her at the Minnesota Zoo. Then, in the most perfect full-circle moment, Hannah surprised Kayla with a proposal of her own on September 12, 2024, at an Avril Lavigne concert.
