Our Wedding

Our story began just like many modern romances with a swipe on Tinder, but what followed was anything but ordinary.Our first date was at Sussex Ale Works during the Balloon Fiesta weekend on September 11, 2022. Between craft beers, cider, and conversation that flowed effortlessly, (Kaylee talked most of the time, Nathan listened) we both had that feeling the one that says this could be something special. Little did we know just how incredible (and eventful!) the years ahead would be.Early in our relationship, we faced one of our toughest challenges when our oldest son, Colt, had open-heart surgery in February 2023. That experience showed us the true depth of our love and what it means to stand strong together. Soon after, we found out we were expecting our youngest, Isla, who arrived in October 2023 a moment that made our family and hearts even fuller.Of course, our journey hasn’t been without its share of laughter and chaos. In February 2024, we got snowed in for three days in Halifax with all three kids while trying to make it to a Toronto Maple Leafs game. What could’ve been a disaster turned into a trip full of giggles, snacks, and memories we’ll never forget.Then came January 2025, when a relaxing trip to the Dominican took an unexpected turn and ended with a hospital visit because apparently, we can’t even vacation without a little drama! And as if that wasn’t enough excitement, July 2025 brought another memorable twist when one of us suddenly couldn’t see out of our left eye and needed medical assistance. We somehow managed to find humor in it all because that’s just what we do.Through every high and low, we’ve built a life grounded in love, laughter, and shared dreams. We’ve grown together by planning our future, supporting each other, and finding joy in every wild, wonderful moment along the way.Now, as we get ready to say “I do,” we look back on where it all began a simple date at a local pub during a weekend full of balloons and we can’t help but smile. Because even though our story has been unpredictable, it’s been perfectly ours.
