Mason's original plan for proposing was to win Production Nationals. When he got second place, he chose to ask the day before Limited Nationals started. If only he knew he would win the second match!
How We Met:
Many don't know this but Mason and I actually met in high school. We both went to Pembroke Academy and took a Spanish class together in 2011. I was a shy sophomore and Mason was an annoying freshman, and while we knew of each other, we were not even friends on facebook.
Fast forward six years to the week of Halloween in 2017. A mutual friend posted an article about not being able to dress your kids up as Moana for Halloween. Mason commented something like, "It's cultural appropriation and it will not be tolerated." I saw the comment and thought, wow this guy became a total jerk. After a thorough "creep" of his facebook profile, I realized this guy was just trolling. I added him as a friend and he messaged me the next day. Once we met up the first time, we saw each other almost everyday for about a month. We instantly knew that we were each other's person.
We have been lucky enough to find our true best friends. We enjoy traveling, shooting, hanging with our animals, and honestly anything else as long as we are together. We are so very blessed to have found each other.
