Our story began in 2015, when two high school students from different worlds—Matthew from Weddington and Kaylee from Ardrey Kell—crossed paths and found something rare: a connection that felt easy, natural, and real. What started as teenage curiosity soon turned into late-night talks, shared dreams, and the kind of laughter that made everything else fade away.

After graduation, life took us to different colleges—Matthew to UNC Charlotte and Kaylee to Appalachian State University. The distance wasn’t always easy, but every other weekend, Matthew made the drive to the mountains to visit. Those trips became the heartbeat of our relationship—filled with small adventures, cozy dinners, and the joy of simply being together. Over the years, we built a bond rooted in patience, trust, and unwavering love.

The mountains quickly became our place of peace and meaning. And on March 14th, 2025—our ten-year anniversary—Matthew proposed in the very place that had witnessed so many of our favorite memories. It was the perfect full-circle moment and the start of an entirely new chapter.

As we look toward our future, we’re excited to continue growing together—to keep learning, supporting, and inspiring one another through every season of life. Our story isn’t just about where we’ve been, but where we’re going—hand in hand, ready for everything ahead.

Nuestra historia comenzó en 2015, cuando dos estudiantes de secundaria de mundos diferentes—Matthew de Weddington y Kaylee de Ardrey Kell—se cruzaron y encontraron algo especial: una conexión que se sentía fácil, natural y real. Lo que empezó como una simple curiosidad adolescente pronto se convirtió en conversaciones hasta tarde, sueños compartidos y risas que hacían que todo lo demás desapareciera.

Después de graduarnos, la vida nos llevó a diferentes universidades—Matthew a UNC Charlotte y Kaylee a Appalachian State University. La distancia no siempre fue fácil, pero cada dos fines de semana Matthew hacía el viaje a las montañas para visitarla. Esos viajes se convirtieron en el latido de nuestra relación—llenos de pequeñas aventuras, cenas acogedoras y la alegría de volver a estar juntos. Con los años, construimos un lazo basado en la paciencia, la confianza y un amor inquebrantable.

Las montañas rápidamente se convirtieron en nuestro lugar de paz y significado. Y el 14 de marzo de 2025, en nuestro décimo aniversario, Matthew le propuso matrimonio a Kaylee en el mismo lugar que había sido testigo de tantos de nuestros recuerdos. Fue el momento perfecto, el cierre de un ciclo y el comienzo de un nuevo capítulo.

Al mirar hacia nuestro futuro, estamos emocionados por seguir creciendo juntos—seguir aprendiendo, apoyándonos e inspirándonos mutuamente en cada etapa de la vida. Nuestra historia no trata solo de dónde hemos estado, sino de hacia dónde vamos—tomados de la mano, listos para todo lo que venga.
