While browsing the best that internet dating had to offer, Joey came across a “lake life loving” dancer who was looking for “someone that likes to cook” and he was up for the challenge. He swiped right only to find… it was a match!

Our love story began in the summer of 2020 with an hour long walk around the lake full of conversation that neither of us would come to forget. Common interests, goals, and an undeniable chemistry sparked something extraordinary. We decided a second date was a must and that romantic picnic began a summer fling that quickly turned into us realizing we found our forever person.

Joey got to meet Kaylee’s dad first. They celebrated her 26th birthday over pasta and cribbage at the Hilton. Then he got the big invite on the family snowmobile trip to meet Kaylee’s mom where he found out that Kaylee could beat him in a snowmobile race any day. A few months later, Kaylee finally got the big invite to fly down to Florida and meet Joey’s family. She dove right in and met the whole fam over games, music, golf, and wine. All things that soon became staples for us as our traditions with family became traditions of our own.

After we were sick of choosing who’s apartment we were going to stay at each night, we decided to not only move in together, but do it BIG and buy our first house. These past couple years have been filled with making our house a home. Our journey unfolded weaving a tale of shared core values, laughter, and bottomless memories (and sometimes mimosas). Kaylee learned how to ski and entertain herself at the golf course while Joey learned way more about dance than he ever thought he would know. We have gotten each other through the tough times and had the pleasure of celebrating many successes, both as a couple and individually. We feel so lucky to share this life that we have created together.

As we embark on the best journey of all - marriage, we cannot wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people by our sides. See you in November!
