Our Story

Picture of Our Story

It all started back in 2017, when a new job turned into something neither of us expected—love. We met at work, where Jesus (the groom!) helped train Kaylee (the bride!) as a leasing consultant. What started as a professional connection quickly grew into a friendship filled with laughter, inside jokes, and undeniable chemistry.

Our first “official” date was a movie night at a Dollar Theater—the kind that shows older movies that have already left the big screen. We saw Split, but honestly, the best part was just getting to spend time together. Jesus even joined Kaylee for a Zumba class to try and impress her—which definitely worked.

One of the most unforgettable early moments in our relationship happened on September 2nd of 2017, during the Labor Day Lift-Off Balloon Glow. With the warm, flickering light of the hot air balloons lighting up the night sky, Jesus asked Kaylee to officially be his girlfriend. Despite the chill in the air, he remembers shaking—not from the cold, but from the nerves. That magical evening under the glowing balloons is a memory we both hold close to this day.

We realized we were in love pretty early on. Whenever one of us had to travel for work, we found that we missed each other more than expected—realizing quickly that life just felt a little off when we weren’t together. That’s when we knew this was something truly special.

The proposal happened in beautiful Sedona, and it was a complete surprise for Kaylee. With its red rock views and peaceful energy, it was the perfect setting. Our amazing friends Amanda and Juan helped pull it off by inviting us under the pretense of a photo shoot for themselves. What Kaylee didn’t know was that they were really there to capture the moment Jesus popped the question—and the look on her face was everything!

Now we’re excited to keep building our life together—to grow old side by side, experience all of life’s ups and downs, and keep making unforgettable memories. One of our favorite quirks is how often we seem to be perfectly in sync: we’ll randomly start thinking about the same completely weird topic, or Jesus will get a tune stuck in his head, only to hear Kaylee start humming it out loud seconds later. It's the little things that remind us how deeply connected we really are.

Thank you for being a part of our journey. We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with you!
