Our love story is unique in the sense that it took FOREVER to get started but then moved swiftly when it finally had it's chance! Will and Kaylee met soon after Kaylee moved here in 2014. Will can recall meeting Kaylee at a mutual friends house (shout out Todd Reesing!) but with the frenzy of meeting new people, she still doesn't remember this first interaction. Ha!

Fast forward to 2018, Will and Kaylee crossed paths again and began to establish a friendship. Will's childhood friend Stuart Sharpe had been dating one of Kaylee's best friends, Stacie Watts for quite some time which frequently brought them together as a group. The timing still wasn't right for anything more but their friendship continued to grow and blossom. While they continued to share the same circle of friends, they had many run ins around town. However, both being in other relationships at different times, no one ever really considered anything more than that.

Coincidentally in May of 2019, Will was interviewing with one of Kaylee's good friends, Dan Lee, for a potential job at Amazon. This came up in conversation between Dan and Kaylee as she explained that she had been harboring a huge crush on him and was devastated to hear he wasn't on the market. Dan, having established a friendship of his own with Will already, quickly brought on the news that brought us all here today. HE WAS SINGLE AGAIN! Immediately, Kaylee began searching her contacts for Will's phone number. She quickly realized they had never made that exchange and took to Instagram. She pretended she didn't just get the best news of her life and checked in with Will on his job hunt and relationship status. He confirmed, he was a bachelor once again and she quickly turned the conversation from a "friendly check in" to a date. Her exact words were "so when the dust settles, we should grab a beer." That they did.

Their first date was May 23rd, 2019 and the rest is history. It was one for the books. Happy hour at Odd Duck, drinks at Here Nor There, a few games of darts at Buffalo Billiards and a nightcap at Handlebar to enjoy the city view. The next day, they got together again for a dip in Barton Springs. While walking there, with the ease of conversation and the fun they were having, Kaylee recalls thinking "This is the one. I'm going to marry this man." They became nearly inseparable following that first week of dates. (This is their first photo together - love you Dirty Bills!)

They made it official in July and were off the races! From the start, our friends all recognized this was something different from anything else the two had done before. Will quickly introduced her to his new coworkers at a "Space Cowboy" themed party. Kaylee dragged him to a baby shower. They were really taking the plunge!

After only 6 months of dating but spending all their time together, Kaylee moved into Will's condo! He let her rearrange literally ALL of his things and in that moment, they both knew they were really committed to this thing.

In September of 2020, they bought their first home together in Allandale near all of Will's childhood friends. This home needed a little love but sat on the most beautiful view of Shoal Creek. Since then they've enjoyed a labor of love together renovating and caring for their new home!

On January 4th, Will planned a beautiful surprise for Kaylee. They left the house headed for South Congress to watch some football and have a cocktail. They parked near Hotel Saint Cecilia and Kaylee mentioned how she had always wanted to see the property but had never had the chance. Little did she know, she leaned into Will's big plan even better than he could have hoped! They walked around the property and Will guided her to see the infamous "Soul" sign at the pool. He got down on one knee and proposed. Shocked and in awe, she of course said yes! He surprised her once again by planning for his parents, Greg and Sally to take care of the pup and deliver some clothes so they could enjoy a beautiful stay on property. Kaylee walked in to a gorgeous set up with rose petals and champagne. Funny enough, Will had been hiding the champagne flutes from her parents, John and Marlene, since December! The celebrated the night at one of their favorite dinner spots, Justine's. It was perfect.

We are thrilled to be getting married in Austin and celebrating amongst all of our family and friends!
