Established in 1947 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Carl's is the best for a warm summer day. Kaylee's favorite is the cherry slush. Luke's favorite is a jumbo chocolate/strawberry swirl cone.
Carl's is CASH only!
The canal path is a paved 3.1-mile loop around Fredericksburg, Virginia. You can head off the trail to explore the river and large rocks to sit on and enjoy the day. Fun fact we walked this trail on our second date!
Downtown Fredericksburg is rich with history. Mary Washington (mother of George Washington) lived out the remainder of her life in Fredericksburg, and her home is now a museum. There are many historical houses in the downtown area dating back to the 18th century. The oldest house still standing was built in 1737. Downtown also has the best coffee shops for a pick-me-up! Kaylee's recommendation is either Agora or Curitiba. All within walking distance to each other.
