Joe and I connected on a dating site in early June 2019. We talked for several months before actually meeting in person. At that time I was living at home in Chandler while Joe was finishing his Military career in Yuma at the Marine Corps Air Station. For the first few months, we would take turns making the drive between the two cities. In early 2020 Joe was restricted from leaving Yuma city limits due to the pandemic, so I decided to make the move to Yuma so we could be together.
In December 2022 we purchased our first house together in Gilbert, Arizona. At this time, I stayed in Gilbert working on turning our new house into a home, while Joe stayed in Yuma until he retired from the Marine Corps on June 30, 2023.
We both love music, animals, traveling, and finding adventures wherever life takes us. In July 2023 while visiting my Dad in Alaska, Joe proposed while on a wildlife expedition. Even though he got my attention off the seals and on him by yelling that there were Orcas on his side of the boat (which was a lie obviously) I immediately accepted!
Joe and I are so excited to begin this new chapter in our lives. We chose October 13th as the day for us to tie the knot for two reasons, First, it is Joe's birthday; and this year he will be turning 40! This leads me to my second reason, Joe hates celebrating his birthday so I wanted to give him another reason to see his day as a special one. We are so excited to start this new chapter and are extremely blessed and happy to have our family and friends help celebrate this big day with us!
