The lake only has one small road surrounding it. Staying on the opposite side of the lake can mean a 20-30 minute drive (don't worry too much though, we will have a shuttle for before and after the event to get guests back to their rental properties as long as it is in a reasonable distance). Check the address of the venue on google maps and the distance from the potential booking! The address to the venue is 16121 Wayah Rd, Topton, NC 28781. A photo of the location of the venue on a map is listed below. Vrbo and Airbnb have great reasonable cabin options that can sleep families up to 14 people. Check out the "Places to Stay" tab for better suggestions!

The Chattanooga, TN airport is approximately 2 hours West of the venue and the Asheville, NC airport is approximately 2 hours East of the venue. The Atlanta, GA airport is approximately 3 hours from the venue. Be sure to shop whichever airport is most convenient for you!

Unfortunately, due to the remote location of the venue, a rental car will likely be necessary for your travel. Turo is a great option for car rentals as it is usually a much cheaper option than other big companies. A helpful hint is to make sure the car is left at the airport for you and that you won't need to pick it up elsewhere.

Heels will not be practical for this venue. Believe me - you will regret it. At most, I would suggest block style heels.

Nantahala Lake is extremely remote. The closest grocery store is 20+ miles from the lake. Please make sure to make a grocery stop prior to arrival! You may also want to consider staying further down the mountain in a larger city if you are concerned about it, but keep in mind that you will have to drive up as we will likely only have our shuttle service tending to those staying nearby the lake due to time restraints.

To our knowledge, no companies have service available at the lake. Be sure to have your maps/directions going as they should continue to work through the lack of cell service as long as you keep the application open. Be sure to book a hotel/reservation where WiFi is offered. Additionally, you may stay further down the mountain to get better chances at obtaining cell service, but most of the rentals have WiFi.

Unfortunately due to airport regulations, we were unable to provide shuttles to and from the airport.

To our knowledge, there is no access to Uber or Lyft nearby the venue. Even if it were a possibility, Turo rentals likely will be cheaper than a 4 hour (round trip) Uber or Lyft ride.

Depending on how close you are to the venue, we do have shuttles the day of the event to take you to and from your rental to the venue. Please ensure you inform us that you are interested in using the shuttle services as we will need more information from you closer to the date.

Yes! There is plenty of parking at our venue if you wish to drive, however, we will also have shuttles for those who are staying within a closer distance. It is strongly encouraged to use our shuttles if possible as the roads are very narrow and potentially dangerous.
