Jonathan and Kayleigh became friends in gym class, freshmen year at Mt. Hope High School. They saw sparks from the beginning and even dated for a week after Jon asked Kayleigh to be his girlfriend on instant messenger. She really liked him, but wasn’t ready for a boyfriend, so they decided to just be friends. After Jon transferred to Tabor Academy, they kept in touch and saw one another every few years. A few years after they reconnected and started dating in 2017, a friend sent them a photo of a newspaper clipping she had come across. In the photo, (posted above!), Kayleigh is donating money to Jon’s wrestling fundraiser in the cafeteria at Kickemuit Middle School. They knew they had grown up around each other, but seeing it in print was weird and special.


Over the past 7 years, Jonathan and Kayleigh have fallen in love, rescued their best friend, Ricky Bobby, moved into a cabin in the woods, and added 4 ducks to their family. They are over the moon excited to get married surrounded by family and friends and dance the night away.
