Our Love Story
Jonathan and I met on a dating app, Plenty of Fish in November of 2016. He messaged me first and I replied. We got to know eachother a little, exchanged photos, and setup our first date. Over the course of a few days. I can remember quite vividly that Jon said "Don't make me nervous!" to which I thought that was cute and endearing. Jon suggested we go to Provinos for our first date. Small world that my Uncle Jeff is the manager of this restaurant and met Jon in person before I did! We were both nervous as heck but sparks flew and so we began dating and a month later were boyfriend and girlfriend. Fast forward two years, June 2018, to our engagement. My boss at the time, Kerri, text me at the beginning of the week and asked if I wanted Wednesday off. Normally, I would question why as I was always eager to get my hours in, but I replied “YES” as I had already been over my hour limit for the week. Little did I know, that Jon asked Kerri to give me the day off so he could propose. Originally, Jon shared with my parents when he asked for their permission that he wanted to propose to me while pickin' strawberries at a strawberry patch;) They are my favorite fruit! That plan fell through due to a poor strawberry season, so Jon came up with another plan. He let me know on Wednesday, June 6th, THE BIG DAY, that he was taking the day off. He never does this, so I knew SOMETHING was up! We pretty much stayed in and we watched The Choice, a romantic drama, that I had been dying to see. We then went to Rhodes Jordan Park to watch the sunset. He was so nervous and so was I. He told me how much he loved me and was looking around the park, turns out at my sister who was the photographer in waiting! We got up from the bench walked around the bend, and he got down on one knee. He said, "I want to spend every sunrise and sunset with you, Will you marry me?” I exclaimed a "YES" and we celebrated our love! Now after meeting in November 2016, being engaged in June of 2018, going through all the good times and bad together we are so excited to embark on the next part of our journey together, marriage! October 12, 2019 can't get here soon enough and we are so blessed to have such supportive family & friends by our side!
