**UPDATE** - Our initial shuttle service fell through after they double booked, We did find a better company with a BIGGER bus. However, they will only be making ONE return trip at 10pm. there are still two shuttles coming to the venue: 230PM & 430PM
What time should I arrive?
We are doing a private ceremony with our families and invite everyone to join us for the reception and cocktail hour starting at 5pm!
If you are included in the ceremony group which is notated on your invite, please arrive 20-30 minutes prior to the ceremony to say your hellos and find your seat!
If you are coming to the reception please arrive anytime during the cocktail hour from 4pm to 5pm. The reception will start promptly at 5pm!
Why a private ceremony?
There short answer, because we both do not like being the center of attention in a large crowd! But more importantly, we want it to be intimate with the people that mean the most to us! Our close family, bridal party, and officiant will be the only ones there for the ceremony. We also know that a lot of kids (and adults) do not actually like to sit through the ceremony, but love to party! So we want to include all of you in the fun celebration!
This also allows for us to do ALL our family photos prior to the cocktail hour. So our family at the ceremony can be in full attendance for the cocktail hour while we finalize getting bridal party photos done and ensure our reception will start right on time!
Are kids allowed to come to the wedding?
Absolutely! Just please note we can only accommodate children that were listed when we sent out the google form. If something has changed please contact the bride or groom to make sure we can account for the change!
What is the dress code?
“Dressy-Casual”. We are getting married on a farm and you will be walking through grass. While we want you to look nice for pictures, we want you to comfortable. Or Country/Western attire! We are getting married on a farm!
Ladies - it is recommended that you do not wear heels. You will be walking in the grass. Think flats! If you really can't leave home without your favorite heels though, I do recommend a block heel.
Please no jeans or athletic attire. See the photo below for more information!
Will the ceremony/reception be indoor or outdoor?
Outdoors! We will have event tents set up but we are going to do our best to have everything outside!
Where do I park?
You will be parking in a field at the top of the property! It will be clearly marked and, you can simply walk down the driveway. We will also have a golf cart doing laps to drive people down to the reception area especially for those who might not be as mobile.
Can I bring a guest?
We will only be able to accommodate those that have been listed on your invitation or listed as “guest”. We appreciate your understanding!
Pitt vs WVU is that day….wtf?
Funny you mention that one. Our wedding date was picked by Tom himself who said “9/13. That’s the perfect day. Pitt beat WVU in 2007, 13-9. I was there with my dad. It has to be that day and nothing else!”
The irony of Pitt v. WVU being on our wedding day. I (Kayleigh) know what I’ve signed up for, which is why I have already promised a projector and space for the game to be watched and enjoyed by all!
When should I RSVP by?
RSVP's are do by July 25th! You can rsvp right here on the website!
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
The short answer is no. We want to have an unplugged ceremony and for you to be fully present with us. Our officiant will announce a time at the end of the ceremony where you can take your phones out to take a photo! Please wait for this time!
Will there be an open bar?
Of course!
What is on the menu?
We are having the event catered by Common Plea catering! It will be a dinner buffet!
We will have hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour as well!
** There is a vegetarian option for those who not on their RSVP as needing such, and kids meals for those children who might not want to eat the main dishes!
