Kayleigh and Mitch met by chance in the stairwell of their apartment building in Bay City, in July 2020. They had been next door neighbors for months, however due to chance and Covid-19 they simply had not seen each other yet. It only took a few days after meeting for Mitch to leave some flowers at her door with his phone number, hoping to spend more time together.

They started as friends, making time to see each other with groups as well as individually throughout the next year, all while getting to know each other better. Mitch left Bay City for Ann Arbor and while they didn't speak or see each other nearly as much, they never stopped thinking or talking about each other.

Mitch moved back to Bay City in the summer of 2022. Kayleigh reached out to make plans to meet up, and in October they finally went to get ice cream and catch up. Then again shortly after for drinks. And once more to make dinner together, the night they shared their first kiss. The connection between Kayleigh and Mitch had been building for years, and it finally clicked.

They never looked back. Months of dating, travel, meeting family & friends and growing their love for each other culminated in Mitch's proposal to Kayleigh on August 11, 2023. They can't wait to be married and continue their happily ever after!
