Once upon a time (more specifically, sometime in March of 2014) Kayleigh and Mike matched on an online dating website. After a few weeks of chatting and online gaming, Mike (Ace, not to be confused with Mike Deuce, Kaylegh's brother) invited Kayleigh over to hang out in Wichita. Kayleigh let her brother Mike (Deuce) know she was heading to town to meet a stranger from the internet, and not to worry, he seems totally normal and safe, this is fine, everything is fine... But here's his address, number, and if the vibes are off send me an emergency text or call so I can escape.

They started the night playing Rock Band on X-Box, then watched some Doctor Who, and ended up staying up into the early morning hours talking, laughing, and learning as much as they could about each other. They made plans to see each other as much as possible and began alternating weekends between Pratt and Wichita, until Kayleigh moved in with Mike in Wichita in 2016. They bought a house together in November 2017.

The couple try to catch as many concerts as possible, as they share a similar taste in music, and enjoy playing TTRPGs (tabletop role playing games like Dungeons & Dragons for you non-nerds.) They host weekly D&D nights with the Jordans (who will be officiating the wedding) when time and work schedules allow for it. They also enjoy quiet nights reading by the fireplace, Mike gaming while Kayleigh crochets, and DIY home renovations.

Mike knew entering into a relationship with Kayleigh meant taking on the most important role as a father in their daughter Quinn's life. And boy, did he crush it. Quinn was only a year old when Kayleigh and Mike met, and she has been smitten with him since day 1.

Their family rounded out with their two corgis Ollie and Mavis, and their two cats Ronan and Merlin.
