The first day I laid eyes on my beautiful wife to be, I was meeting some friends at a local spot to go on a motorcycle ride. All of a sudden a beautiful brown-haired girl came cruising up, hair in the wind and the radio blasting. So the first thing I did was make fun of her obnoxiously loud subwoofers. Then a couple times seeing her out with her mutual friends, Kayleigh added me on Facebook. I was sitting at a bar stool with a friend, I looked at him and said "This girl will be on the back of my motorcycle before the end of summer." After talking over text, snap chat and facebook, I courageously asked her to go on a date with me. We went to Fiesta Ranchera and dancing Downtown Bloomington. That night I made the best decision of my life and kissed Kayleigh on the dance floor. After that moment, we spent every chance we could together. Anything from long nights out, shooting guns or riding ATVs. We were always laughing and wasting no time telling each other all of our secrets and everything about our lives before we knew each other. As my father would say, "She showed up at the house and never left." Now here I am 4 years later getting married to the most beautiful loving girl I have ever met. Love you Smooches, Forever & 7/8ths.
It was a weekend getaway in Chicago with Brandon's college friend, James Shadwick from Arizona. We hadn't been to an MLB game together yet so we took James along too. After picking James up from the airport, we took him to browse the big tourist sites of the Windy City. We made our way from Millennium Park and crossed Lake Shore to Navy Pier. We all had a couple drinks while listening to a live band and browsed the city skylines from each side of Navy Pier. We started walking on the North Side where Brandon and I had recently gone for my birthday to take a picture. I told him we already took a picture like 2 months ago and he kept BEGGING for a picture (the man has never had to try so hard). He says "Look babe it's the perfect time, there's sailboats in the water, and it's a beautiful day. He gave James his phone and I gave James' friend my phone. I said OK....walked over and next thing I know Brandon is down on his knee asking if I will be his future wife!!!!!!!! Goosies (goosebumps) and SMILES the rest of the day!! There was a crowd of people clapping and saying "AWW, OMG, That's so cute, etc" It was totally perfect! My nails were done, it was a surprise, we had a crowd and he made sure to have someone capture it on camera. Best engagement ever, wouldn't ask for anything different!! Love you Brandon <3 XOXO
