How Did Kayleigh and Trenton Meet?

It all started in June 2023 in Wilmington, NC, where fate (and our best friends) brought us together for a weekend visit. Little did we know, their matchmaking plan would actually work — and better than anyone could’ve imagined!After that weekend, Trenton didn’t waste any time. He drove from Holly Springs to Burlington to take Kayleigh out on their first official date. There may have even been some dream wedding talk that night (LOL!). From the very beginning, they hit it off and have been inseparable ever since.For nearly a year, Kayleigh made the drive to Holly Springs every weekend to spend time with Trenton and Remy! Eventually, Trenton made the move to Burlington — a sweet next step in what has been the most joyful journey.

The Proposal

On Kayleigh’s 26th birthday, they spent the evening at ZincHouse Winery and Brewery in Durham, NC. At some point during, she casually mentioned, “This is would be a perfect place for a proposal.” (Hint taken.) Exactly one year later, on her 27th birthday, Trenton made that dream come true. Surrounded by their closest family and friends at the very place where the wish was first spoken, he got down on one knee — and Kayleigh said yes! It was the easiest “yes” and the most perfect day.

On her mother’s side, Kayleigh shares a deeply cherished bond with her aunts and cousins, who refer to themselves as the “Fristers” — a name born from the blending of friends and sisters. Their unwavering support, laughter, and love have shaped so many of Kayleigh’s most treasured memories. In honor of this lifelong sisterhood, she has chosen to dedicate them as her “something blue” — a symbol of loyalty, love, and enduring connection on her wedding day.
