Both products of Buffalo, NY, Alex and Kaylene found themselves growing up a few thousand miles southwest of home after their parents decided you can't shovel sunshine and moved to Arizona. Alex grew up playing baseball in Lake Havasu City while Kaylene was busy tearing up the hockey rink in Phoenix. Eventually, their paths crossed while doing something they both love, watching the Buffalo Bills play football on Sunday! Thanks to Bills Mafia having such a faithful and enthusiastic following, Kaylene and Alex became close friends as they were able to see one another at the local Bills Backers bar each weekend throughout football season. Alex fell hard for Kaylene first, admiring her beauty, her honesty, her firecracker attitude and commitment to her friends and family. After a brief (albeit annoying) stint in the friend zone, Kaylene finally came to her senses and gave Alex the chance to be (the best) boyfriend ever. Two years later, on September 30th, 2023 they were engaged atop a beautiful red rock backdrop in Sedona, AZ (they were both wearing Bills gear). And well...here we are...See you all soon!

Getting to Lake Havasu: Lake Havasu unfortunately is not directly accessible by airport but it is a short drive from two main hubs in either Las Vegas or Phoenix. Las Vegas:Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) Phoenix:Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA) Las Vegas is the closer of the two options, located about 2.5 hours (driving) from Lake Havasu City. Phoenix may have a wider variety of flight options but is roughly 3.5 hours (driving) from Lake Havasu.

Getting to the Wedding/Reception Venue: Havasu Springs Resort is a short, 25-30 minute, drive south out of Lake Havasu City. Follow Highway 95 south past Sara Park to the south end of the Lake. Just over and around the bend from the Bill Williams bridge (with all the cat tails) you will come up to two large condo style buildings and a sign marking the entrance to the Springs Resort. There will be signs directing the path to the actual venue location within the Springs when you arrive. Havasu is a unique travel destination full of second homes. There is an abundance of vacation rentals via AirBnB or VRBO. Want to get out on the water? There are plenty of boat and jet ski rentals around the Havasu area to take advantage of! Yes even in October you can enjoy a nice day on the lake!

Nautical Watersports Boat Rentals

If you have the chance to get out on the water, you can't pass up the chance to see the stunning Topock Gorge. Located north of Lake Havasu by a 30 minute boat ride, you will soon arrive in a stunning gorge with walls of red rock on either side of you. If you look close you may be able to see some burrows or big horn sheep!

Located just North of Lake Havasu, accessible by both freeway and the river, Topock66 is one of our favorite lake day watering hole get aways. Enjoy food and drink right on the river with live music, a pool and plenty of sweet boats parked in the marina.

Pirate's Cove features a full service restaurant, on the water cabins, a marina and stunning views of the Colorado River desert oasis just north of Lake Havasu. Accessible by either boat (north up river) or a drive up the I-40, it is a great place to relax by the water!
