We met when I was living in Des Moines, and Michael was living with his brothers in Ames. We started talking and he eventually convinced me to go to a comedy show with him. Sparks did not fly. He dropped me off that night and I told my roommates "I'll probably never see him again". Oh boy was I wrong, and never been more happy to be so. Months flew by and I noticed that it was Michael's birthday. I sent him a happy birthday text and our flame reignited. We ended up going on another date on the 4th of July and then the fireworks went off. From that point on we were inseparable and we have never looked back since. By the time our relationship rekindled, Michael was living in Treynor with his brothers. We would take turns every weekend driving the two hours to spend time with each other. Understandably, spending the weekends together were not enough and we decided to get a little apartment together. We loved our little place and made it feel like home. Months went by until D-Day plus one our worlds turned around. That is when a fun walk on the beach turned into a commitment for life. We were engaged! We have since bought our first house in Treynor, as well as put a deposit down on an English Springer Spaniel. We are so so so excited for what else life has in store for us and our ever growing love.
