Our Wedding

In the fall of 2016 Kaylie didn't know what she wanted to do with her life so while she was trying to figure that out, she started working at Student Transit where her mom (Amy ) works. On one of Kaylie's first days, she was introduced to Pete. While meeting Pete, Amy made it a point to let him know Kaylie was single and Pete says "Well, you know, I have a single 25 year old son who is a police officer here in Eau Claire!" Not thinking anything of it, Kaylie dismissed Pete as she was not looking to date anyone..... Amy and Pete had other plans! One night in January 2017 Kaylie was relaxing at home watching TV with her parents and younger siblings when she received a text from an unknown number. She read the text and immediately yelled out " What the F*** mom, you gave my number out without telling me?!?!?" Amy laughed and, Kaylie said "Joe Wollum, who the hell is that?" Amy proceeded to tell Kaylie that Joe was Pete Wollum's son the police officer and Pete asked for her number to give to him. In complete shock, Kaylie responded to Joe letting him know she knew nothing about her number being given to him and Joe's response was "Well, that's embarrassing." After a few texts about the situation, the conversation turned into get-to-know each other questions and Kaylie realized this random guy seemed nice and figured it wouldn't hurt to be open to dating. We texted back and forth for about a week and then went on our first date. After a month of texting and going on dates, we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. Over the next few years together we adopted a cat (Colt) and dog (Sophie)! We have gone on lots of adventures which have included many camping trips, Door County weekends, a road trip out west, a week in Denver CO, a relaxing weekend in Myrtle Beach SC, and our biggest adventure going to Poland! And FINALLY after 5 years of dating, Joe was ready for the next BIG adventure so he popped the question and without hesitation Kaylie said YES!!! We are so excited to see what life has instore for us and can't wait to celebrate becoming husband and wife! And I guess we have to give a BIG THANK YOU to Amy and Pete for meddling in our lives and bringing us together... sometimes parents do know what is right for us but this is the only time we will openly admit that!!!
