Kaylin and Thad have an unusual story. Like much of the modern world, they met online, but instead of a dating site, they met through PlayStation. Thad played video games with Kaylin’s college boyfriend. A few months into knowing each other, Thad heard Kaylin yelling at the TV while watching the Patriots game. Blown away, Thad vowed that he would marry Kaylin one day. After knowing of each other for a long time, Kaylin’s boyfriend put her on with Thad, while he went to his friend’s house, so Thad could help Kaylin with her homework. They, instead, spent two hours talking about everything under the sun.

Two weeks later, after neither of them could stop thinking about each other, Thad messaged Kaylin on FaceBook. From that moment on, Kaylin and Thad have never gone a single day without talking to each other. They have known from the very beginning that what they had was special, so Kaylin did not think twice about it when Thad asked her to move in with him. With the love and support of their families and friends, they have grown exponentially together. They love each other more than anything and cannot wait to spend the rest of their lives together.

On June 7, 2018, unbeknownst to Kaylin, Thad had a friend and co-worker, Ms. Anne, meet him at the jewelry store to help him pick out an engagement ring. The next day, they got up and took their dog, Whiskey, out for a hike. They spent all day hiking a local state park in Indianapolis before returning home. Once they were home, knowing how much Kaylin hates grand public displays and even cries when they sing happy birthday to her in a restaurant, Thad decided to keep the proposal more intimate. Thad turned off Kaylin’s tv show, which she was actually a little annoyed at originally, turned on music, and asked Kaylin to dance with him in the living room. Their first night in their apartment together, they had danced in the living room for hours just enjoying being together, so Thad thought it was fitting. While they were dancing, Whiskey decided to join them and began jumping on them. Thad got down on one knee looking at Whiskey and said “what do you think, should I do it?” He then pulled a beautiful ring out of his pocket and asked Kaylin to spend the rest of her life with him. Obviously she said yes!!
