Our Love Story

Perfect timing is the best way to describe how we found each other. We first crossed paths years ago—just briefly—while waiting for an audition. Little did we know, we would later end up living across the street from each other, even in the same apartment complex! But it wasn’t until January 2023, during an opera production, that we truly met. We became fast friends, and before we knew it, we had fallen in love.

Matthew, ever the cautious one, took his time, and Kaylyn, never one for confrontation, waited patiently. The result? A very long delay of… one whole week (lol). Thankfully, Matthew came to his senses and finally asked Kaylyn on a date.

After one of our opera performances, we sat together on a dear friend’s porch. Kaylyn simply reached over and held Matthew’s hand—that was the moment our love story truly began. From that day on, we were inseparable, finding not only love but a best friend in each other. Kaylyn found peace and safety in Matthew, and for the first time, Matthew felt he could be completely himself—loved for exactly who he was.

Over the past year, we’ve filled our days with adventure, from spontaneous roller skating and hiking trips to trying new recipes, indoor art nights, and our absolute favorite, biking together. It didn’t take long for us to realize we had found our forever in each other.
