There are a few hotels that are more convenient than others if avoiding downtown traffic. We love The Appy Lodge since it is just off the Bypass that will take you within miles of the wedding venue with little traffic. You completely bypass the Main Parkway traffic. On the other side of town is the Park Vista with great views, a great indoor pool, and also convenient to avoid traffic. The Park Vista is conveniently located off of Cherokee Orchard, the other bypass to get near the venue without downtown traffic. There are several cabin rental companies within the area. We like Parkside Cabin Rentals since they have very nice cabins which can accommodate large families.

If you are trying to stay near the wedding location, please be sure to let the rental company know where the venue is so that you do not spend hours in traffic getting to the venue. Please tell them you need to be in the Glades area of Gatlinburg. We do not recommend cabins West of the Parkway at all since you will have to go through such heavy traffic. We also do not suggest any in the Wears Valley area as travel times are very high during busy times.
