Will there be any events on Friday 5/16?
Yes, there will be a welcome party from 8pm to 10pm at Saugatuck Brewing Company on Friday 5/16, located at 2948 Blue Star Hwy, Douglas, MI 49406. There will be an open bar and some desserts but no entrees or serious food available. Suggested dress code is cocktail attire.
When and where is the wedding ceremony and reception?
The wedding ceremony and reception will be held on Saturday, May 17th, starting at 3:30pm, at the Felt Estate at 6597 138th Ave, Holland, MI. The couple asks that guests please arrive and be seated by 3:15pm at the latest as the ceremony will promptly start at 3:30pm.
What is the dress code?
Black tie optional.
Are children invited?
Due to the size of our families and venue capacity, we are only able to invite a limited number of children. We were only able to invite children of direct family members, so if your children are included on your invitation, you are of course welcome to bring them. We kindly ask that all other guests make arrangements for childcare.
Can I bring a plus one?
Please refer to your invitation. If your invitation specifically includes a plus one, you are welcome to bring a guest.
Will there be transportation to the ceremony?
Yes, there will be shuttles that will pick guests up at the two hotels, Holiday Inn Express Holland and Courtyard Holland Downtown (please see travel tab above), for transport to the ceremony. Both shuttles will leave promptly at 2:30pm. Then shuttles will take guests back from the reception to the respective hotels that evening at 9, 10, and 11pm. (of note, based on the number of guests staying at each hotel, there should be more space on the Holiday Inn shuttle if you want to catch a ride but are not staying at either hotel.)
There are Ubers available in Holland but we expect that getting an Uber from Saugatuck back to Holland or to anywhere else will be very difficult if not impossible.
Where are you registered?
Your presence at our wedding is gift enough. However, if you would like to give a gift, we will be honeymooning in Italy and plan to backpack the Dolomites, so any gift toward the honeymoon fund will be used for that!
