Purgatory Ski Resort shuttles will be taking you up the mountain to our ceremony/reception venue. The shuttles will be in the circular driveway in front of the ski resort’s plaza. This is where you will go to be picked up for the wedding. The shuttles will also drop you off in the same location after the wedding. If needed, you are able to park your car in the Base Area parking lot located by the plaza. Shuttles will start transporting guests at 2:30, and the last shuttle will leave the plaza at 3:30. After the ceremony, the shuttles will be available to return you to the plaza for the remainder fo the night. We have attached a map of the ski resort to this website under “Important Wedding Day Details!”

Just a reminder, we will be following the Colorado COVID policies and protocols during our wedding celebrations. We will provide masks and hand sanitizer at the venue for your use and discretion. In addition, please be aware of the health and well-being of all our guests by coming to the festivities healthy, safe, and happy. If you are feeling bad or are showing symptoms, we understand and appreciate your absence to the wedding. We love you all!

Our Wedding

God is so good. We met at Sky Ranch Ute Trail for the first time on May 12, 2018. We guided backpacking trips together for a few months and got to co-guide a trip together. That is when I fell for Keaton. I asked her on a date on September 13, 2018 and she was completely shocked. She had no clue I liked her. God has blessed our relationship immensely since that day. He has sanctified and loved us through one another. He has also given us incredible friends and family to walk alongside of us. Thank YOU. We believe marriage is all about glorifying our Lord and Savior by modeling Jesus and the Church (Us) to one another and the whole world. We want to do that together. So, here we go. We want to start our marriage on top of a mountain to represent our story of how we met and how God is always working. Please join us. -Jon

Our Story

If you will be attending our wedding, we suggest booking a room at Purgatory Ski Resort. This is where our wedding will be held, therefore staying here will be the most convenient option. To book a room, call the number above and reference the Matthews-Cunningham wedding to get the discounted rate. The resort has many options for rooming, such as a standard king bedroom to a five bedroom condo. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact Keaton at (903) 363-2805.

Durango, Colorado does have an airport, if you would like to fly to our wedding. From there, you can rent a car or shuttle to Purgatory Resort. This is where our hotel accommodations and wedding will be.

Purgatory Ski Resort shuttles will be taking you up the mountain to our ceremony/reception venue. We have attached a map of the ski resort plaza to show you where the shuttles will be located. At the bottom of the map, you will see a circular drive called the arrival court. This is where the shuttles will pick up and drop you off for the wedding. Shuttles will start transporting guests at 2:30, and the last shuttle will leave the plaza at 3:30. If needed, you are able to park your car in the Base Area Parking Lot (located on the map). The shuttles will be available at 7:30, 9:00, and 10:15 to take you back down to the ski resort plaza.
