THE VENUE:

Lake Eland Game Reserve is nestled within a farming community approximately 40km inland from the South Coast.

There’s plenty to enjoy before and after the wedding, we would love you to make the most of your time by exploring everything the reserve and the beautiful Oribi Gorge area have to offer!

TRAVEL:

You will need your own transportation to get to, from & around Lake Eland. For friends travelling from abroad, we recommend hiring a car at the airport and making your way down to the South Coast from there. You don't require a 4x4, a regular car will suit.

From our experience, Avis car hire at the airport have always offered a great service.

Please ensure you have fuel in your vehicle, as there are no fuel stations close to the reserve. We suggest topping up at the Oribi Toll Plaza Shell garage before making your way up.

ACCOMMODATION:

A range of accommodation types are available in the immediate surrounds, from self catering chalets within Lake Eland reserve to full board hotels in the surrounding Oribi Gorge area.

Those who are keen to stay closer to the beach will find a wide range of options north and south of Port Shepstone.

LAKE ELAND GAME RESERVE:

- Onsite accommodation. Most units are close enough to walk to the venue.

- Please book accommodation in advance by emailing the co-ordinator directly on functions@lakeeland.co.za, letting them know it's for the Benallack wedding🥰.

- Attached here is unit sizing and pricing.

- There is a 2 night minimum stay over weekends.

We will provide a pick up and drop off shuttle service for guests staying at the venues recommended below, with details shared closer to the date. If you will need the shuttle, please let Tide know directly.

The shuttle service will only be available for the below 3 venues. Guests staying elsewhere will need to make their own way to and from the wedding.
