Yes! We are excited to welcome everyone the night before (Jan. 2) at a drop-in welcome party at New Realm Brewing from 6 - 9 pm. Please let us know if you can make it at the RSVP tab of this website, or by contacting the bride or groom.
For our out-of-town guests, the closest airport is Greenville-Spartanburg International (GSP), which is less than 20 minutes from the venue. Guests of the Poinsett Hotel may schedule shuttle pickups/drop-offs (24 hours in advance) by calling 864-421-9700, or we generally recommend ride share services such as Uber or Lyft.
Once in town, you’ll find that Greenville is a walkable city. However, many locations have bikes for rent or you can utilize ride share services.
Both the ceremony and the reception will take place at the Westin Poinsett Hotel, 120 S Main St, Greenville, SC 29601. For parking, a valet option is available, or you can self-park in the attached Poinsett Garage, using its Court Street entrance located at approximately 99 W. Court Street.
Overnight parking is allowed in this garage. Please don’t drink and drive!
For the welcome party, we recommend dressy/smart casual (think a NYE house party). However, feel free to roll in straight from the airport if you need to! For our evening wedding and reception, we request black-tie optional.
We are having a child-free wedding and reception. However, your littles are invited to the welcome party the night before if you wish to bring them.
Welcome to Greenville – consistently ranked one of the best cities to live and visit in the country (really)! Our wedding festivities are all based downtown, with most must-see attractions within walking distance.
We would be remiss if we did not recommend checking out the city’s pride and joy – Falls Park – which is where Ethan proposed! After a stroll by the Grand Bohemian hotel and across Liberty Bridge, grab a coffee at Spill the Beans or a glass or two at Jianna. For the more adventurous, see if you can find the elusive Chicora Alley bar tucked away in plain sight on Main, or play it safe and have “the best chicken sandwich in town” at Society (according to Ethan).
If you’re looking for exercise, walk or bike the Swamp Rabbit Trail to Unity Park, where you can be rewarded with a beer at Southernside Brewery or a plethora of options at the Commons. On your way back, check out Up on the Roof at the Embassy Suites for great views of the city and creative cocktails.
There is no shortage of good food, great drinks, and fun activities here. If in doubt, give us a call and we’re happy to make recommendations!
*PS: this is Court Street for you self-parkers!
