Our Wedding

Keiley and I met while attending the College of Saint Benedict and Saint Johns University. We were both cross-country and track and field athletes and Computer Science majors, so we saw each other fairly frequently. When fall semester of our junior year rolled around, we took the same computer science class and even sat at the same table. Right before finals, Keiley asked me to study with her, and I was elated to accept! I was planning on asking her out at the end of the study session, but I was too nervous and asked her to study with me the next day to buy myself some time to steel my nerves. After studying the next day (which Keiley did not need), I asked her out on a date. She said yes! Our first date was a movie night. We watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail and played cards. Since then, we have spent a lot of time together reading, playing cards, watching TV shows and movies, bowling, building what may have loosely resembled a gingerbread house, and doing crosswords. Right before finals during spring semester of our senior year (sensing a pattern?), I took Keiley on a short walk down the chapel trail. We stopped to take a quick look out over the lake. I ended up asking Keiley two questions while we were out there. The first question was a riddle that led to me popping the question. Keiley said yes! Over Easter weekend, Keiley's grandma, Kathleen, was diagnosed with a glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumor which attacks the brain and its function. It was important to us that Grandma Kathleen would be able to celebrate with us, so we planned a small, intimate wedding with our immediate family and grandparents for that following weekend. We are excited to keep adding to our story, and we are excited to have you all join us when we renew our vows on July 26th!
