It was one of those rabbit hole stories… So buckle up butter cup.

It all began on a December cold day, Joey had been invited to a taco Tuesday night at his best friend’s, girlfriend’s mom’s house. Joey could never turn down food and offered to make a batch of guacamole. While he was there they wanted to show Joey a picture of a friend who had a daughter who was very cute. She was also single and ready to mingle. After he showed very much interest in wanting to actually meet the mysterious daughter, he was razzed by all of his friends who were there. But the mom agreed next time they did Taco Tuesday, she would bring her daughter along (or at least try).

Fast forward SIX MONTHS later, Joey gets invited to another taco get together. Joey doesn’t remember seeing photos of the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. He declined to go because it was his busy season at work and he wouldn’t have time. He is then informed that the daughter has seen photos of him and is very interested in meeting him. He now wants to try and make it to the taco feast. But she wanted to get together to talk before they were both in their friends' spotlight, so she friended him on Facebook. It took awhile to coordinate a date, as she was playing hard to get. But he convinced her to get dinner a few days before the event.

As you likely know, Keleigh’s name is very unique, and Joey hadn’t heard her name in six months. So he wrote it down and asked people how to pronounce her name so he wouldn’t mess it up… He was getting all sorts of pronunciations, nothing that was a solid winner. So on his drive over to pick her up he had an idea. He walked up to the front door and knocked. She answered and he started with, “Hello, we have never met in person, so let me introduce myself. My name is Joey”, to which she responded, “Nice to meet you. My name is Keleigh.” Bingo! Now he heard her say her own name. (She later told him that was very sly as she usually tests people on how to say her name.) They went to a Mexican dinner, walked along the waterfront until it started to rain, jumped back into his truck and drove around until the rain stopped. They found swings to swing on and continued the process of getting to know each other better. And the rest is history.
