Hi! We’re Luke and Keller. Both of our stories began in the South Charlotte area. We were born and raised there and have each had some of life’s highest of highs and lowest of lows in that area. Luke grew up being homeschooled. Keller grew up attending Covenant Day School. We each attended Christ Covenant Church and that’s where we met! We can’t remember exactly, but we are pretty sure we met in communicants class. We later on saw each other weekly on Sundays and Wednesdays in youth group. By high school we were pretty good friends and enjoyed spending time together with other friends, retreats, etc. After high school, Luke moved to Florida for college, but before doing so, he wanted to see if he could finally “get the girl” after all those years of friendship. He asked Keller out that summer…twice. And Keller turned him down…twice. :( It wasn’t looking good for Luke. So, for Luke’s first year of college he just occasionally texted Keller about the gym and life updates. The following summer we were able to see each other again and spend time together a handful of times, amongst which Luke shot his shot….again….TWICE! And you guessed it, Keller turned him down again…TWICE! He wouldn’t give up. So, stuck in the friendzone Luke heads off to college for his second year. Then! Lo and behold, Keller receives a random text from Luke on October 6th, 2020 asking her out one final time. And what does she do….she accepts (FINALLY)!! After years of Luke’s unwavering pursuit, he finally got a chance at the girl. And the girl took a chance at him. We are so thankful that Keller finally gave in and said yes because we would not be where we are today without each other. The majority of our relationship has been long distance and that for sure has been filled with struggles. We have also conquered and endured many battles with our health together and Luke in particular has loved and encouraged Keller so much through all of it. Now, we both live in the South Florida area and love it! We have seen God pour out so many blessings over us in Florida with jobs, careers, communities, and churches. We are so thankful to finally be approaching almost 4 years of togetherness. We are so excited to celebrate our story in September as we are fully united by the covenant of marriage! All glory be to God, for He has orchestrated all of the details in our lives to bring us together. We are prayerful that our marriage will be a light to the world and an encouragement to the kingdom of God. <3
