Our Story
Back in the fall of 2011, Anthony and Kelli informally met at a rivalry football game that took place at Shrewsbury High School. Shrewsbury was playing Saint John's; Kelli attended Shrewsbury High School, and Anthony attended Saint John's. They were briefly introduced to each other by a mutual friend, at the time it was nothing more then a "Hi, nice to meet you!". Turns out, Kelli sparked some interest in Anthony, as he messaged Kelli a week later on Facebook Chat. Kelli, not thinking she made any sort of impact on Anthony when they briefly met, messaged him back in a confused fashion (She'll admit that now!) because Kelli didn't remember who Anthony was. After they sorted that out, they both started talking a bit more, and then finally exchanged numbers. After talking for a while, Anthony expressed to Kelli how much he liked her and asked her to be his date to the Subscription dance, which was a formal winter ball sanctioned by Saint Johns. A few weeks after they attended the dance, Anthony decided to ask Kelli out on midnight of New Year's Eve, January 1st, 2012. That was officially when they started dating! Now, Kelli was only a freshman in High School, and Anthony was a senior, so their relationship didn't really "fly" with most people at the time. In fact, they were told by most people that we wouldn't last once Anthony went off to college. However, they proved a lot of people wrong!
Anthony graduated from Saint John's in the spring of 2012 and attended Assumption College in the fall to play baseball and pursue a business management degree. They initially thought it was going to be hard with Anthony being in college, and with Kelli still in High School. However, their relationship grew even stronger! Though Kelli may have visited Anthony at Assumption way more that she should have, Kelli grew a strong liking for Assumption and later committed to Assumption College to pursue a Marketing degree. After Kelli graduated from Shrewsbury High School in spring, 2015, Kelli attended Assumption in fall, 2015. Both Kelli and Anthony were back as the "Freshman-Senior" couple again, but this time at the same school!
Once Kelli graduated from Assumption College in spring 2019, Anthony and Kelli moved into their first "official" apartment together in downtown Worcester, MA. Since they both spent a majority of our relationship in college (some may say Kelli attended Assumption for 8 years, LOL), they were excited to move into the next chapter of their lives together. Anthony proposed to Kelli in Aruba on February 9th, 2020 and after spending a year and a half in their apartment, Anthony and Kelli were fortunate to become homeowners in December, 2020 in Worcester, MA less than a year after they got engaged. Though 2020 was a rough year for most in terms of the pandemic, they find that 2020 was the best year of their lives after 9 years of being together.
Over the past 9 years, Anthony and Kelli have both grown from high school sweet hearts that most thought would never last, to being able to spend the rest of their lives together as soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Perry. They certainty went though some high and low times, but love always persisted. Throughout their years together, they both have enjoyed and spent countless hours on baseball and softball fields supporting each other while both playing & later coaching. Kelli got the pleasure of watching Anthony grow from Pioneer to Greyhound; she always tells people one of her favorite activities is watching Anthony pitch, and now coach. They've also grown to enjoy sun bathing at the beach together, going out with friends, spending time with their families, and their favorite of all, traveling and vacationing together! Since being together, Anthony and Kelli have traveled to every state in New England, Florida, Nashville, Montreal, Ottawa, Arizona, Aruba, Outer Banks SC, Washington D.C., New York City, Maryland, Atlantic City NJ, Myrtle Beach, Ocean City MD, and many more to come!
