Brendan and Kelli met back in 2017 through their mutual friend (and Kelli's maid of honor) Lauren. After being introduced and telling Lauren they were interested in each other, Brendan had asked Kelli to dinner. After that dinner, every weekend Kelli went to visit Brendan in Broomall.

After a few years of visiting every weekend from Bechtelsville, Kelli and Brendan decided to get an apartment together in Wayne.

On their 5 year anniversary, Brendan had planned a dinner at Terrain. After dinner, Brendan and Kelli were walking through the grounds when Brendan asked Kelli to marry him in front of both of their families. Brendan then surprised Kelli with a celebration of their engagement with their closest friends and family.
