Our Love Story

Picture of Our Love Story

Our story begins in a very unconventional back in fall of 2022 at Tarleton State University. We met, unintentionally, on an anonymous app for college students on our campus. Somehow, we ended up messaging back and forth on this app not even knowing each others real names. Soon after, we officially introduced ourselves and began talking more and more. The conversations on random, useless topics turned into deep heart to heart conversations about meaningful things. These text messages soon turned into nightly phone calls...for hours. We both had to be up very early every day for work or class but neither one wanted to hang up the phone. We became very close very fast and it felt like we had known each other for years and years, when in reality...it had only been a few days. Kase finally asked me on a date to my favorite restaurant in Stephenville a couple of days later where we officially met in person for the first time. Our first date was full of awkward moments and plenty of clumsiness. Kase was shaking so hard he spilt the chips and salsa, and I couldn't even maintain eye contact so I watched the Cowboys game on the wall TV most of the time.

After our first date, we were pretty much inseparable aside from both of our busy work/school schedules. From only seeing each other two or three times a week when we first started dating to our engagement this year, we have came along way. From meeting each others friends and families, holidays, vacations, and college milestones, we grew with each other and let God show us the plans that he had for each of us and our relationship.

Fast forward to May of 2024. We both graduated college together and packed for a celebratory trip to Colorado. I was under the impression that this was just a fun vacation for us to celebrate graduating college. I had no idea that Kase had been planning to pop the question on a mountain that very trip. The first day of travel was long and exhausting but Kase wanted to go to Pike's Peak to show me the view and mountains. I was in awe driving up the mountains with snow everywhere in the middle of May. We got out for pictures at this beautiful spot on the mountain with an amazing view. As I am playing in the snow like a little kid, Kase says he was going to take a picture of me looking over the edge. Then when I turned around he was on one knee with the most beautiful ring I had ever seen! I cried, he cried, we all cried. Then moments later... it started snowing. I could not have imagined a better proposal, but more importantly, I could not imagine a better man to spend the rest of my life with.
