Airports
There are several airports within 1.5 hours of Poughkeepsie.
1) Stewart (SWF) is the closest, approximately 30 minutes, however typically more expensive with fewer options for flights and always a connection.
2) Westchester County (HPN) is a small airport, approximately 40 minutes, easy in and out location. Usually where I fly into when returning home.
3) New York City (LGA, JFK, EWR) are the three city airports, typically the cheapest. From these you can connect to Grand Central Station (train) and Poughkeepsie is the last stop on Metro North (<$20 for the train) or it's 1.5 hour drive by car.
4) Albany International (ALB) is 1.5 hour north of Poughkeepsie but is an easy highway drive without the traffic and chaos of NYC.
