We are a Tinder, Covid success story! Kait and I started talking on my birthday 2020 while I was working on a ship for a multi-month deployment at sea with the military. We talked every day following until I came home and went on our first date. I had been out at sea since February and came home mid-July. I had no idea about covid or restrictions. We can all just say our lives changed extremely since!
Our date took place at her apartment dog park, where of course she met Merritt. I knew she was the one right away. Not only did we have so much in common, but Kait was kind, passionate, and just seemed like a good egg! I just had that feeling, that she would become not only my best friend, but soulmate. She met my immediate family soon after we made it official, and some extended family around Labor Day weekend. Within a month I wanted to go up to Maine and visit my college friends, so of course I asked Kait to join. To everyone that knows me well, I am no planner, so most of my friends didn't know I was coming until I was a few hours away, but this is how I roll, one of Kait's favorite things about me ;). It turned out to be an amazing trip, she met a bunch of my close friends, and we hiked in Acadia! That started out our traveling journey! In the past three years we have been to Oregon, Utah, Washington, Ohio, Wyoming the entire east coast, Italy, Greece, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, Hungry, and I am sure I am missing some!
If there is one thing Kait has taught me better than anything, it is how to be well traveled!
I have also shared my love for skiing with Kaitlin. She is a fast learner! Within the second season she was cursing down blacks out in Park City!
The past year we have put traveling on the back burner to save for a house and prepare for this big day!
We cannot imagine our lives without each other. So hey, let's celebrate our love! We cannot wait to see everyone on our big day, and are so thankful you have all come to support our adventures from near and far.
