They met at Trinity Baptist Church in Lytle, TX. Fabian had been taking guitar lessons with a mutual friend, Joseph, and started going to Trinity at Joseph's invitation after Joseph became the music minister there. Joseph had dropped Fabian's name to Kellie a couple times already, saying he had a pretty nice beard. It was brushed off, but Kellie already had plans to start going to Trinity soon, so the meeting was inevitable.

They just smiled and shook hands at first meeting. After around half a year of seeing each other at Sunday service and Wednesday night Bible study and having small conversations here and there, Fabian asked Kellie out after church on New Years Eve 2023. They went to Triple C Steakhouse for lunch, where both forgot to exchange phone numbers after the date. (introverts...sheesh) There were additional dates. Dinners, Hiking at Castroville park, Ice cream dates at DQ, etc. Just low-key getting to know each other.

Around 4 months later Fabian officially asked Kellie to be his girlfriend. (Finally!) They both grew to understand they they didn't want to do life without one another. And in February 2025 Fabian proposed in the hay field at the Meyer Farm. <3
