We met online in November 2019 and became official just before the world changed …back when “Zoom” was just a sound and “quarantine” was a word you’d only hear in sci-fi movies. While the world slowed down and most people were learning to bake sourdough or hoard toilet paper, we were busy falling in love.

Dating during a pandemic was… let’s call it “unconventional.” Fancy dinners turned into socially distant walks around the neighborhood, where we’d dream about our future home (with a washer/dryer obviously), chase down the ice cream truck like two sugar-fueled eight-year-olds, and bond over frequent trips to CityMD (because nothing says romance like a COVID test together). And yes, we became connoisseurs of to-go cocktails from every local spot that offered them.

Somehow, through it all, we made it through—stronger, closer, and probably a little too comfortable in sweatpants. Once the world opened up, we traded mask mandates for boarding passes and started collecting memories: road trips up and down the East Coast, sun-soaked adventures in Florida and California, beach days in Mexico, and eating our way through Italy, France and Spain.

Now, we’re gearing up for our greatest adventure yet: marriage. We can’t wait to see where life takes us next—as long as there’s good food, lots of laughs, and maybe the occasional ice cream truck.
