Our Story

Since childhood, Kellie & Clayton have been the best of friends. Growing up only a couple of houses down from each other in Ponoka, AB, the two were inseparable from the beginning. Vicky and Terri, the mothers, attended birthing classes together preparing for the birth of the Swan's first child and the Quinn's second child. Chris and Bill, the fathers, were also good friends getting together for the Walter Mitty NHL fantasy draft and watching the Oilers as die-hard fans. Their siblings, Sam, Allie & Cassie grew up together as well following each other around the cul de sac, walking to Riverside school, and spending every day together for years. Kellie and Sam's older sister Toni was a few years older than them, however, was always around watching over the younger ones and keeping them out of trouble.

At the ripe young age of only 4 years old, Kellie knew Clayton would be her forever as she sealed it with their first kiss on top of her sister's bunk bed. She told him, "I'm going to marry you one day." And he did not argue since Clayton has always loved Kellie!

Clayton moved away from Ponoka when they were 12, separating them for the first time. It was a difficult transition, one that distanced them as they were growing into their teenage years. They saw each other every once in awhile as Vicky and Terri would meet for coffee and catch up.

12 years later, Kellie & Clayton reaquainted themselves into each other's lives at 24 years old by finding each other from across the dancefloor at Billy Bob's Bar in Red Deer. And, just like in childhood, they have been inseparable since. It will be 7 years since that fateful night in Billy Bob's and almost 3 years since he went down on one knee and officially ask her to marry him. Both sides of their families overwhelmed with joy, "FINALLY! Long time coming and we are so excited!" Their forever started back in childhood; their union as Mr. & Mrs. Swan starts July 6, 2024
